Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Attach guide bar and chain: Loosen bar nuts, position chain on bar with cutting teeth facing forward, align bar on studs, tension chain, tighten nuts.
  2. Install bar cover and chain brake: Ensure brake is disengaged (forward position).
  3. Fill oil reservoir: Use bar and chain oil only; check for leaks.
  4. Prepare fuel mix: Use 50:1 gasoline to 2-cycle oil ratio (see Section 6).

WARNING! Always wear cut-resistant gloves during assembly. Ensure chain is properly tensioned before use.

Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before operation. Always wear personal protective equipment (PPE).

  1. PPE Required: Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, steel-toe boots, chainsaw chaps.
  2. Clear work area: Remove debris, ensure secure footing, keep bystanders away.
  3. Inspect chainsaw: Check for loose parts, chain sharpness, proper tension before each use.
  4. Carry safely: Engage chain brake when moving; carry with bar pointing backward.
  5. Kickback prevention: Hold firmly with both hands; do not cut with tip of bar.

CAUTION! Never operate a chainsaw while tired, under influence, or in poor weather conditions.

Specifications

Controls and Components

Main Controls: Throttle trigger, throttle lockout, choke lever, primer bulb, stop switch, chain brake lever.

Components: Front handle with chain brake, rear handle with throttle, fuel tank cap, oil tank cap, spark plug, air filter cover, muffler, guide bar, chain, bar nuts.

Operation: Pull choke for cold start, press primer bulb 5-6 times, set stop switch to ON, pull starter cord. Engage throttle to accelerate chain; release to idle. Activate chain brake by pushing lever forward.

Fuel & Oil Mixture

Use fresh unleaded gasoline (minimum 89 octane) mixed with high-quality 2-cycle engine oil at 50:1 ratio.

  1. Mix fuel: Pour 2.6 fl oz (77 ml) of oil into 1 gallon (3.8 L) of gasoline.
  2. Shake container thoroughly before filling.
  3. Fill fuel tank: Clean area around cap; use funnel to avoid spills.
  4. Bar and chain oil: Use only non-detergent, tacky chainsaw oil in oil reservoir.

Tip: Never use automotive oil, diesel, or old gasoline. Store mixed fuel for no more than 30 days.

Starting & Operation

Supports both cold and warm starting procedures.

  1. Cold Start: Engage chain brake. Set choke to FULL, press primer bulb 5-6 times. Pull starter cord until engine fires. Move choke to HALF, pull cord again until engine starts. Warm up for 30 seconds.
  2. Warm Start: Choke OFF, no priming required. Pull starter cord.
  3. Cutting: Disengage chain brake. Squeeze throttle trigger to accelerate chain. Apply light pressure; let chain do the work.
  4. Stopping: Release throttle, allow chain to stop. Engage chain brake. Press stop switch to OFF.

WARNING! Always start on ground, not on knees. Keep hands away from moving chain.

Chain Maintenance

Regular maintenance ensures optimal performance and safety.

  1. Chain Sharpening: Use round file (5/32 inch) at 30° angle. File each tooth evenly; check depth gauges.
  2. Chain Tension: Adjust when chain sags from bar. Loosen bar nuts, turn tensioner screw until chain snaps back when lifted. Retighten nuts.
  3. Bar Maintenance: Clean bar groove; flip bar periodically for even wear.
  4. Oiler Check: Ensure oiler is working; adjust flow if needed (screw near oil tank).

CAUTION! Always disconnect spark plug before performing maintenance.

Storage & Care

Prepare chainsaw for storage if not used for more than 30 days.

  1. Drain fuel tank and run engine until it stops to clear carburetor.
  2. Remove chain, clean in kerosene, coat with oil and store in sealed bag.
  3. Clean air filter, spark plug, and cooling fins.
  4. Store in dry, cool place away from children.

CAUTION! Never store with fuel in tank; it can damage engine components.
