Assembly & Setup

Unpack and inspect all parts. Assemble on a clean, flat surface.

  1. Attach guide bar and chain: Place bar onto mounting studs, loop chain onto bar sprocket, adjust tension.
  2. Fill oil reservoir: Use bar and chain oil only.
  3. Mix fuel: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane min.) with 2-cycle oil at 40:1 ratio.
  4. Prime and choke: Press primer bulb 5-7 times, set choke to closed position for cold start.

WARNING! Always wear cut-resistant gloves during assembly. Ensure chain is properly tensioned before use.

Safety Instructions

Read all instructions before operation. Always wear personal protective equipment.

  1. Protective Gear: Safety glasses, hearing protection, gloves, chainsaw chaps, and sturdy boots.
  2. Clear Work Area: Remove debris and ensure secure footing.
  3. Two-Hand Operation: Always grip with both hands during operation.
  4. Kickback Awareness: Avoid contact with bar tip; use reduced-kickback chain.
  5. Never operate above shoulder height or on ladders.

CAUTION! Chain brake must be tested before each use. Do not operate if safety features are damaged.

Specifications

Controls and Components

Main controls: Throttle trigger, throttle lockout, choke lever, primer bulb, stop switch, chain brake lever.

Components: Front handle with chain brake, rear handle with throttle, air filter cover, spark plug, muffler, fuel cap, oil cap, bar cover.

Operation: Set choke for cold start, pull starter rope firmly. Release choke once engine fires. Engage throttle lockout before pulling trigger. Activate chain brake by pushing lever forward.

Fuel & Oil Mixing

Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum) mixed with high-quality 2-cycle engine oil at 40:1 ratio.

  1. Measure: 3.2 US gallons gasoline to 10.2 fl oz oil OR 1 US gallon to 3.2 fl oz oil.
  2. Mix in approved container: Add oil to gasoline, shake thoroughly.
  3. Bar & Chain Oil: Use only non-detergent chainsaw bar oil in reservoir.

Tip: Never use automotive motor oil or old gasoline. Store mixed fuel for maximum 30 days.

Starting & Operation

Supports standard cutting, limbing, and bucking operations.

  1. Cold Start: Set chain brake, move stop switch to "I", set choke to closed, prime 5-7 times, pull starter rope until engine fires, move choke to open, pull to start.
  2. Warm Start: Choke open, no priming required.
  3. Cutting: Apply light pressure, let chain do the work. Avoid forcing saw.
  4. Kickback Prevention: Maintain firm grip, do not cut with bar tip.
  5. Shutdown: Release throttle, move stop switch to "O".

WARNING! Always engage chain brake when carrying or not actively cutting. Keep bystanders at least 15 feet away.

Chain Maintenance

Chain sharpening: Use 5/32" round file and file guide. Maintain 30° cutting angle.

  1. Tension: Chain should snap back when pulled from bar; adjust with side knob.
  2. Sharpening: File each cutter evenly; maintain equal length on all cutters.
  3. Depth Gauges: File to 0.025" below cutter edge using depth gauge tool.
  4. Lubrication: Check oil flow by pointing bar at light surface; adjust oiler if needed.

CAUTION! Always wear gloves when handling chain. Ensure saw is cool before maintenance.

Cleaning & Storage

Clean after each use. Drain fuel for long-term storage.

  1. Clean exterior: Use brush to remove sawdust and debris.
  2. Air filter: Tap clean or wash with soapy water (if foam).
  3. Storage: Drain fuel, run engine until dry. Remove chain, clean and oil it.
  4. Store in dry place, covered, with bar guard installed.

CAUTION! Never use pressure washer. Store fuel in approved container away from heat sources.
