Specifications

Controls and Components

Main Controls: Throttle trigger, throttle lockout, choke, primer bulb, stop switch, chain brake handle.

Handle Area: Front handle with chain brake, rear handle with throttle trigger, fuel/oil caps.

Operation: Pull choke for cold start, press primer bulb 5x, set stop switch to ON, pull starter cord. Release choke after engine fires. Throttle lockout must be depressed to engage throttle. Chain brake stops chain instantly if activated.

Fuel & Oil

Fuel Mix: Use 89+ octane unleaded gasoline mixed with 2-cycle engine oil at 50:1 ratio (2.6 oz oil per 1 gal gas).

  1. Use clean, approved fuel container.
  2. Mix fuel and oil thoroughly before filling.
  3. Fill fuel tank to 90% capacity to allow for expansion.
  4. Chain Oil: Use SAE 30 or dedicated chainsaw bar oil. Fill reservoir before each use.

Tip: Never use automotive motor oil or fuel older than 30 days. Store fuel in a cool, dry place.

Starting & Operation

  6. Hold front handle with left hand, place right foot in rear handle.
  7. Pull starter cord briskly 3-5 times until engine fires.
  8. Push choke to HALF position, pull cord until engine starts.
  9. Warm up at idle for 30 seconds before cutting.

WARNING! Never drop-start or start above waist height. Keep hands clear of chain during starting.

Chain Maintenance

Sharpening: Use 5/32" round file and file guide. Maintain 30° top plate angle. File each cutter equally.

Tension: Chain should be snug against bar but pull freely. Adjust when chain sags away from bar.

Lubrication: Check oil flow by running saw over light surface; look for oil line. Clean oil ports weekly.
