Assembly Instructions

Unpack all parts and inspect for damage. Assembly requires basic tools (included).

  1. Attach handle: Align lower handle with deck brackets, secure with bolts and wing nuts.
  2. Install upper handle: Connect to lower handle, secure with provided hardware.
  3. Attach grass bag: Hook bag frame onto rear deck brackets, ensure secure fit.
  4. Install discharge chute: For side discharge, attach chute to deck opening.
  5. Add engine oil: Fill with SAE 30 detergent oil (check dipstick for level).
  6. Add gasoline: Use fresh unleaded gasoline (87 octane minimum).

WARNING! Do not add gasoline during assembly. Keep away from sparks or flames.

First-Time Setup

  2. Add fuel: Fill tank with fresh unleaded gasoline.

Controls and Operation

Handle Controls: Blade control lever (must be held to run), drive control lever, throttle control, primer bulb, recoil starter.

Starting Procedure: 1. Move throttle to FAST position. 2. Press primer bulb 3 times. 3. Pull recoil starter firmly. 4. Once started, adjust throttle as needed.

Operating: Engage drive lever to move forward; release to stop. Adjust speed with lever pressure. For turns, release drive lever and pivot mower. Always mow across slopes, not up/down.

Cutting Height Adjustment

Single-lever adjustment controls all four wheels simultaneously.

  1. Stop mower and engine.
  2. Pull lever outward and move to desired position (1-6).
  3. Release lever to lock in place.
  4. Verify all wheels are at same height.

Tip: For best results, never cut more than 1/3 of grass height at one time.
