Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Engine won't start Empty fuel tank, stale fuel, spark plug issue Add fresh fuel, check spark plug, ensure choke is properly set
Engine starts then dies Clogged fuel line, dirty air filter, carburetor issue Clean fuel line, replace air filter, check carburetor settings
Uneven cutting Dull blades, uneven tire pressure, deck not level Sharpen or replace blades, check tire pressure, level mower deck
Excessive vibration Bent blade, loose blade bolt, debris in blade area Inspect and replace blade if bent, tighten blade bolt, clean under deck
Poor bagging performance Full bag, clogged chute, wet grass Empty bag, clean discharge chute, wait for grass to dry
Hard to push Low tire pressure, engaged blade brake, tall wet grass Inflate tires, disengage blade brake, cut grass when dry
