Installation & Setup Guide

Step-by-Step Assembly

  1. Unpacking: Carefully remove all packaging materials and verify all parts are included according to the parts list.
  2. Steering Wheel Installation: Attach steering wheel to steering column and secure with provided hardware.
  3. Seat Installation: Mount seat assembly to seat plate and adjust for operator comfort.
  4. Battery Connection: Connect battery cables (red to positive, black to negative) and secure battery in tray.
  5. Deck Installation: Attach mower deck following specific alignment procedures in manual.
  6. Fuel System Preparation: Add fresh unleaded gasoline (minimum 87 octane) to fuel tank.
  7. Oil Check: Verify engine oil level and add SAE 30 detergent oil if necessary.
  8. Pre-Operation Check: Inspect all connections, tire pressure, and safety features before starting.

Operation Guide

Starting Procedure

  1. Ensure parking brake is engaged
  2. Move blade engagement lever to OFF position
  3. Place gear shift lever in NEUTRAL position
  4. Set throttle control to FAST position
  5. Turn ignition key to START position
  6. Release key when engine starts (it will move to RUN position)
  7. Allow engine to warm up for 2-3 minutes before operation

Mowing Operation

  • Speed Selection: Use lower gears for thick grass or slopes, higher gears for normal conditions
  • Cutting Patterns: Alternate mowing direction weekly to prevent grass leaning
  • Overlap Passes: Overlap each pass by 2-3 inches for even cutting
  • Slope Operation: Mow up and down slopes, never across (maximum 15° slope)
  • Wet Grass: Avoid mowing when grass is wet to prevent clumping and deck clogging

Safety Features

Winter Storage Preparation

  1. Add fuel stabilizer to gas tank and run engine for 5 minutes
  2. Change engine oil and filter
  3. Remove spark plug and add 1 oz of oil to cylinder, then pull starter cord slowly to distribute
  4. Clean entire mower, especially underside of deck
  5. Store in dry location with battery removed and charged
  6. Cover with breathable fabric cover
