Chain Maintenance

A sharp, properly tensioned chain is critical for safety and performance.

2. Sharpening: Use a round file and guide matching the chain pitch (3/8" LP). Maintain the factory filing angle (typically 30°). File all cutters to the same length.
3. Oiling: The automatic oiler works when the chain is moving. Check oil level frequently. Use only bar and chain oil for proper lubrication.

Battery & Charging

Use only Craftsman V20 batteries and charger.
