Troubleshooting

Problem Possible Cause Solution
Chainsaw won't start Battery not charged, safety lock engaged Charge battery, disengage safety lock, check connections
Poor cutting performance Dull chain, insufficient chain tension, low battery Sharpen or replace chain, adjust tension, charge battery
Chain not moving Chain brake engaged, motor overload, debris obstruction Disengage chain brake, clear debris, allow motor to cool
Excessive vibration Loose components, unbalanced chain, damaged guide bar Tighten all fasteners, balance chain, inspect guide bar
Chain oil leaking Overfilled reservoir, damaged seals, incorrect oil type Check oil level, inspect seals, use recommended oil
Short battery life Old battery, extreme temperatures, excessive load Replace battery if old, avoid extreme temps, reduce load
